There are so many meaningful ways to give back in our community this season, and we are deeply grateful for every individual and group who chooses to support us through their own fundraisers. Your generosity, creativity, and commitment make an incredible impact.

Behind every fundraiser there is a tremendous amount of planning, coordinating, and caring that often goes unseen. Please know that we see it, we appreciate it, and we are truly thankful for the time, heart, and effort you pour into helping our Foundation. Thank you for showing what community can look like when people come together with kindness and purpose.

A Small Town Tradition That Gives Back in a Big Way

Photos with Santa have wrapped up for another wonderful year at Unforgettable Memories, and what a season it was. For many families across our community it’s a cherished tradition, one that has carried on year after year and continues to grow with new memories, new little faces, and the same incredible spirit of generosity.

This year, that spirit shone brighter than ever. Together, our community raised an incredible $14,260 for the FSJ Hospital Foundation. With donations set at a minimum of $30, countless families gave above and beyond, showing once again what small towns do best: taking care of one another and keeping support close to home. Thank you to everyone who came out, donated, shared, smiled, and kept this tradition thriving. Your generosity stays right here in our community, supporting the hospital we all rely on.

EarlyAct Inspires Giving Through Sweet Treats for Be an Angel

The EarlyAct Club at Margaret ‘Ma’ Murray Community School raised funds through hot chocolate and candy bag sales, and with the help of many Rotary volunteers, they distributed these treats throughout the school. Their donation was made toward the Be an Angel Campaign.

EarlyAct provides young students the opportunity for gaining an increased awareness and knowledge of their community and the world.

The FSJ Hospital Foundation extends a big thank you to Meagan Bracy, the EarlyAct Club and all of the volunteers. We look forward to seeing the amazing ways these students give back every year.

A Meaningful Night at the Stick It to Cancer Game

The FSJ Huskies hosted their annual Stick It to Cancer game in support of the Cancer Diagnostic & Treatment Fund at the FSJ Hospital Foundation. A huge thank you to John M. Bacso Muscle Therapy for sponsoring the pink Stick It to Cancer jerseys this season in memory of Diana Bacso. This generous tribute honors Diana’s love for the game and her lasting impact on the Huskies family.

The FSJ Huskies presented a cheque for $2500 to the FSJ Hospital Foundation in December. Thank you for supporting local cancer care!

Small Hands, Bright Spirits: ARYES Students Give Back

Grade 2 students from Anne Roberts Young Elementary School brought big smiles to the FSJ Hospital Foundation this week as they visited the Be an Angel Tree. Each child added a handmade ornament helping brighten the hospital for patients, families, and staff.

During their visit, students learned about what the Foundation does and there were quite a few hands raised from future doctors, nurses and healthcare workers. With hearts full, they reminded us how generosity starts young. Each student left with an Angel Pin with their birth year and the knowledge that the Be an Angel Tree is shining a little brighter this year thanks to them.

A Sweet Way to Give Back

Our friends at Canadian Tire in FSJ are making giving extra sweet this season. For every small box of Toffifee sold, $1 is being donated to the FSJ Hospital Foundation, up to a maximum of $2,000. Stacy from the FSJ Hospital Foundation joined on location on December 18th to spread cheer and well wishes!
