Fort St. John, BC – Smile Cookie Week 2025 was a heartwarming success in Fort St. John, as the community came together to embrace this year’s theme: Paying It Forward. With thousands of cookies shared across schools, non-profits, and local businesses, the initiative brought joy and connection to every corner of the city. This year, the first giant cookie was created and auctioned off to Tyler Smook for a $250 donation to the FSJ Hospital Foundation. The total amount raised during Smile Cookie Week 2025 has been reported as $32,052.

Thanks to the generosity of local partners, Smile Cookie Week in partnership with Tim Hortons became more than just a fundraiser for the local hospital—it became a movement of kindness. GFL Environmental led the way by delivering Smile Cookies to students at North Peace Secondary School (NPSS) and the Early Learning Centre (ELC)Arc Resources followed suit, spreading smiles to the students and staff at Robert Ogilvie Elementary School.

Troyer Ventures LTD joined the effort by sending cookies to CM Finch Elementary School, while Pembina extended their support to numerous School District 60 (SD60) staff and students, ensuring that the spirit of giving reached far and wide.

At the heart of this initiative were Tim Hortons owners Ravi and Pallavi, who fully embraced the Pay It Forward theme. Their generosity resulted in the distribution of 3,500 Smile Cookies to schools, non-profits, and community members throughout Fort St. John.

“We are incredibly proud of how our community came together this year,” said Kelly Amboe, Executive Director of the Fort St. John Hospital Foundation. “Smile Cookie Week is about more than cookies—it’s about connection, compassion, and community. We’re grateful to everyone who helped make this year so special.”

Smile Cookie Week continues to be a cherished tradition in Fort St. John, reminding everyone that a simple gesture—like a cookie—can make a big difference.
