The 24th Annual Have a Heart Radiothon is now done! Thank you, Fort St John!
📍 Live with Vista Radio from the Home Hardware parking lot in Fort St. John
Every year, the FSJ Hospital Foundation proudly partners with Vista Radio for the Have a Heart Radiothon, a full‑day live broadcast dedicated to raising funds for urgent and essential healthcare needs at Fort St. John Hospital.
This year, the Radiothon is Putting the Wheels in Motion by supporting a vital investment in wheelchairs and patient support equipment used throughout the hospital. These tools play a critical role in patient mobility, comfort, recovery, and dignity, helping staff provide the right care, at the right time, with the right equipment.
Funds raised will support a diverse mix of wheelchairs designed to meet a wide range of clinical needs, from high‑use manual wheelchairs for short‑term movement, to specialized Broda chairs that provide safe, comfortable seated support for patients requiring extended positioning. Tilt and bariatric wheelchairs ensure pressure relief, safety, and inclusive access to care, while pedal wheelchairs allow eligible patients to engage in gentle movement and circulation while remaining seated.
The investment also includes essential comfort and pressure‑relief supports such as ROHO air cushions, Stryker air mattresses, and a hydrocollator for therapeutic heat treatments. Together, these tools help reduce the risk of pressure injuries, manage pain, support recovery, and improve overall patient experience during hospital stays.
This diversified approach allows clinicians to match each patient with the most appropriate mobility and comfort solution, improving safety, efficiency, and dignity across all areas of care. With your support, the Have a Heart Radiothon helps keep the wheels moving for patients of all ages and abilities, ensuring they receive compassionate, responsive care when they need it most.
We’re grateful to Shell Canada–Groundbirch and Tourmaline for their generous support of this year’s Have a Heart Radiothon. Each has committed to matching donations up to $10,000 each, helping us reach our goal faster. We also would like to extend our appreciation to Petronas Canada for sponsoring our POWER HOUR.
Their contributions reflect a commitment to supporting local healthcare and strengthening the communities they’re a part of. Thank you for helping us make a meaningful difference for families in the North Peace.

Since 2003, the Have a Heart Radiothon has raised more than $700,000 for the Fort St. John Hospital Foundation, helping improve local healthcare through community support.
In 2025, the Have a Heart Radiothon raised more than $40,000 to support the purchase of advanced cardiorespiratory monitors for the Fort St. John Hospital Birthing Center. These lifesaving monitors provide real‑time data during critical moments after birth, helping care teams respond quickly and effectively when newborns require urgent monitoring or resuscitation.
