Healthcare Workers’ Appreciation Week was established in 2023 to recognize and celebrate the dedication, compassion, and hard work of healthcare workers serving Fort St. John and the North Peace. The initiative was led by ConocoPhillips, with support from the FSJ Hospital Foundation, as a way to say thank you to those who care for our community every day.
Since its beginning, Healthcare Workers’ Appreciation Week has grown into a meaningful, community‑wide effort to acknowledge the important role healthcare workers play across hospitals, long‑term care, and community health settings. As part of the celebration, qualified healthcare workers employed by Northern Health receive a coupon during Healthcare Workers’ Appreciation Week that can be redeemed for a breakfast sandwich and coffee at participating local restaurants.
We are also grateful to the City of Fort St. John for their renewed support of this initiative, and for helping our community show appreciation to the healthcare workers who care for us all year long.
