Bluey Day is a fundraiser in support of cancer diagnostics & treatment here in our hospital.  The goal is to provide the necessary equipment for our hospital so patients can remain at home, throughout their cancer journey.  Remaining close to home ensures patients have the support of family and friends, which is instrumental to their well being, and recovery.

The act of shaving ones’ head shows support to those who have lost their hair while undergoing cancer treatment.  Our brave Bluey Day participants chose to shave in support of family, and friends who have been touched by cancer.

Help make a difference and join the more than 900 people who have shaved their heads since 1999, raising over $2.3 Million in support of local cancer diagnostic and treatment!

Bluey Day is more than an event.  It’s a commitment to supporting those affected by cancer. By pledging to shave your head, beard, or even cutting your hair, you contributing to the larger cause. Your brave act is a symbol of hope, remembrance, and an opportunity to raise awareness and funds in support of cancer diagnostics and treatment.

Help us reach our goal of raising $100,000 for the Foundation’s Cancer Diagnostic & Treatment Fund. These funds will be allocated to urgently needed equipment in the Medical Imaging Department, Laboratory, Operating Theatre, and Endoscopy Suite. The aim is to enhance early screening and diagnosis of cancer, and ensuring the comfort and care of cancer patients undergoing treatment at the Community Cancer Centre.
