Light a Moose
The 100.1 Moose FM crew and the FSJ Hospital Foundation team broadcast live from the Murray GM Parking Lot every November with our three-day radiothon. Tune in as we call on the community to support the purchase of a vital piece of equipment for the Fort St. John Hospital or Peace Villa Care Facility. Every time the community raises $1,000, a light will be added to the Light a Moose billboard. Light a Moose has now raised over $1 million in funds for local healthcare, since 2004.
The community raised over $150,000 at the 2022 event with help from $20,000 Corporate Matching Donors NorthRiver Midstream and Mustang Rentals. The proceeds from the event exceeded our goal of $100,000 and went towards the purchase of a Spectra Stainer and Cover Slipper; this vital piece of laboratory equipment will allow for more timely and accurate diagnostic results at the Fort St. John Hospital.
