The FSJ Hospital Foundation is thrilled to announce that this year’s Be an Angel Campaign is making incredible progress toward its $350,000 fundraising goal with a focus on the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) enhancements for patients in the North Peace.
Be an Angel Gala Success
The Be an Angel Fundraising Gala, presented by ConocoPhillips, raised an outstanding $168,000+ thanks to the generosity of donors, supporters, and attendees. A special thanks to Mustang Rentals for their exceptional support. Funds from the Gala will purchase a specialized MR1 Ventilator, a vital piece of equipment designed to safely support patients who require life support while undergoing MRI scans.
Light a Moose Radiothon Momentum
The 22nd Annual Light a Moose Radiothon raised over $163,000, thanks to incredible community support and three generous $20,000 Matching Donors: NorthRiver Midstream, PETRONAS Canada, and Tourmaline. This year’s Radiothon raised funds for additional ICU enhancements, which includes 3 new pieces of equipment: an Ultrasound with Thoracic Probe, enabling accurate and immediate heart monitoring, a Transport Monitor, ensuring real-time monitoring during patient transfers for diagnostics such as MRI and CT scans and a Temperature Management System, maintaining optimal healing temperatures for patients in intensive care. We would like to take this time to thank the 100.1 Moose FM team for their commitment in raising more than 1.5 million dollar through this Radiothon since it began in 2004.

Beyond the numbers, the Radiothon was filled with heartwarming moments that truly reflect the spirit of giving in our community. More than 140 donations came in – from kids making their very first contribution to long-time supporters who have helped shape the Foundation into what it is today. Friends stopped by for their annual catch up, armed with coffee and stories, while fun challenges between individuals and businesses added excitement to the event.
Campaign Total & How You Can Help
Between the Be an Angel Gala and the Light a Moose Radiothon, the Be an Angel Campaign has already secured $331,000, bringing us within reach of our $350,000 goal. The remaining funds will be raised through the Be an Angel Mailout, where members of the community can purchase ornaments in memory or in honour of a loved one which will then be displayed on the Be an Angel Tree at the FSJ Hospital.
