100.1 Moose FM received the 2015 Janet Taylor Award for their outstanding contributions through the Light a Moose Radiothon. What began in 2004 as a grassroots effort with a tent, a microphone, and a shared vision between Adam Reaburn and Sue Popesku grew into a beloved annual tradition. By the end of 2015, the Radiothon had raised over $350,000, rallying local businesses and residents to support healthcare in Fort St. John. Moose FM’s dedication to community storytelling and connection reflects the spirit of the award — bringing people together to light up lives through generosity and shared purpose.
