Shweta is a Rehabilitation Assistant at the Fort St. John Hospital, bringing experience and a deep passion for patient care to her role. Originally trained as a Physiotherapist outside of Canada, she is now licensed to practice physiotherapy here through the Ontario Internationally Educated Physiotherapy Bridging Program.

“This program has helped me adapt to Canadian physiotherapy standards,” she shared. “As an internationally trained professional, I needed mentorship and training to prepare to challenge the licensing exams.”

Receiving the FSJ Hospital Foundation Educational Grant was a meaningful step in that journey. “I felt very grateful to be awarded the grant,” Shweta said. “It helped cover tuition costs and made continuing my education more manageable.”

Shweta is passionate about rehabilitation and is committed to contributing to the acute care needs of patients at the Fort St. John Hospital. “The FSJ Hospital Rehabilitation team is wonderful to work with and dedicated to patient care,” she added.

To the donors who made the grant possible, Shweta offered her heartfelt thanks: “Your generosity is greatly supporting the professional journeys of healthcare individuals in our community.”
