FSJ Hospital Foundation and ConocoPhillips Canada Collaborate to Host Bingo Night at Peace Villa
The Fort St. John Hospital Foundation partnered with ConocoPhillips Canada to sponsor the 2nd annual Bingo Night for the residents of Peace Villa Residential Care Facility. Residents and several outpatients enthusiastically participated in the evening’s activities. The ConocoPhillips volunteers hosted lively bingo games, creating a fun and wholehearted event. To add to the festivities there was a table full of ConocoPhillips merchandise and a selection of gift cards available for prizes. Once Bingo concluded the Residents then returned to their lane to enjoy a Chinese food dinner followed by Black Forest cake for dessert.
On hand to ensure the success of the event were 14 ConocoPhillips Canada Montney Team volunteers, a handful of youth volunteers, FSJ Hospital Foundation staff and the Peace Villa recreational team. The team of volunteers provided both assistance and quality socialization to the residents during the event. The evening wrapped up with the ConocoPhillips team serving Chinese food to the residents.
Expressing joy about the community engagement, Rolande Reinboldt, Production Administrator, shared, “Peace Villa Bingo is truly one of our favorite events! It’s something we look forward to every year, and our volunteers start asking about it well before the date is even set. We love honoring our seniors, recognizing and respecting their foundational roles in our community and the industries we work in. They deserve it, and hearing the little jokes and seeing their smiles during the event is priceless!”
