The Fort St. John Hospital Foundation is delighted to receive an outstanding donation from Canadian Natural for the Peace Villa Fund. On Friday, January 17, the local Canadian Natural superintendents, and other local staff stopped by to present a donation to the FSJ Hospital Foundation.
The Canadian Natural team was then treated to a tour of Bluebell Lane at the Peace Villa Residential Care Facility, guided by Pat Evans, the Manager, and Sheila McLeod, the Residential Care Coordinator. During the tour, Pat shared what daily life for the residents in Peace Villa looks like and the growing need in our community for more long-term care beds as our community ages. This tour also presented the chance for the Canadian Natural team to see their last year’s donation in action. Last year, through Canadian Natural’s generosity, four alternating pressure mattresses were purchased and are now in use in Peace Villa. The alternating pressure mattresses provide much-needed comfort to residents who spend many hours in bed. This year’s donation is slated for additional alternating pressure mattresses, as the mattresses are costly, and the need is growing.
The afternoon was a wonderful, shared opportunity for the Canadian Natural team to witness the impact of their generosity and meet the passionate leaders at Peace Villa.
