Bingo with Peace Villa
In a heartwarming gesture on the chilly night of January 12, 2024, the Fort St. John Hospital Foundation partnered with ConocoPhillips Canada to sponsor an engaging Bingo Night for the residents of Peace Villa Residential Care Facility. A total of 72 residents enthusiastically participated, guided by 11 dedicated volunteers from ConocoPhillips Canada Montney Team. The volunteers hosted lively games, and lucky winners walked away with ConocoPhillips Canada merchandise and gift cards. The Peace Villa residents then had sumptuous Chinese food.
Kirk MacLellan, Operations Superintendent, reflected on the initiative, saying, “Many of our volunteers first connected with the residents at Peace Villa during our support for Healthcare Workers’ Appreciation Week last year. This rewarding experience motivated our team to explore additional ways to directly support the residents of Peace Villa.”
Expressing joy about the community engagement, Rolande Reinboldt, Production Administrator, shared, “It’s wonderful to have this level of interaction with our community. Sitting at a table with a resident who was an engineer in the oil and gas industry for many years provided rich conversation. Spending time with individuals who have contributed significantly to our community over the years was truly fulfilling.”
ConocoPhillips Canada has been a steadfast partner of the Fort St. John Hospital Foundation since 2013, actively contributing to the betterment of the Fort St. John community. Their collaboration involves supporting various initiatives and providing funds that enhance patient care and comfort at both Fort St. John Hospital and Peace Villa Residential Care Facility.
A heartfelt thank you to ConocoPhillips Canada for making this memorable event possible!
