Arnie Isberg Memorial ‘Light for Life, Join the Fight’ Luminary Ceremony
The Arnie Isberg Memorial 1-Pitch Tournament has been held every summer since 2012, organized by family and friends of Arnie Isberg. Like most fundraiser events this summer, this year's 9th annual slow-pitch tournament is also cancelled.
In lieu of this amazing event, the tournament organizers are keeping the spirit of the event going with a special 'Light for Life, Join the Fight' Luminary Ceremony with an opportunity to make your own special gift. One hundred percent of the proceeds raised go to the Fort St. John Hospital Foundation's Cancer Diagnosis and Care Fund. This fund helps purchase the latest early cancer screening and diagnosis equipment needs at the FSJ Hospital.
The Luminary Ceremony will be held at the Hospital Walking Track on June 27 (Saturday) from 8 pm to 11 pm. The organizers are inviting the community to participate by picking up their luminary bags to decorate and write messages. There is a minimum donation of $5 per bag. Pick up and drop off of luminary bags is from June 15 to 19 from Imagine That store.
For more information, follow the Arnie Isberg 1-Pitch Tournament Facebook page or call Kerri Laurin at 250.261.7563.
