“We are thrilled with evening and have heard nothing but positive feedback from our guests and donors,” says Executive Director Jennifer Moore. We are so thankful for the efforts of our volunteers, who gave of their time and talents before, during and after the event. We also appreciate the generous support of our local businesses, organizations, and individuals, who sponsored the event and/or donated items to be auctioned off. And of course, we are grateful to each of our guests who attended and contributed to the Foundation. We are constantly humbled by the generous support of this community!
The evening included a presentation of the Janet Taylor Award, in honour of a woman who was a dedicated volunteer, committed Board Member, and generous donor. Each year this award is presented to celebrate those who share her passion and dedication to the Foundation and to the betterment of health care in Fort St. John and area. This year’s recipient of the Award is a business that supports the FSJ Hospital Foundation’s events year around, but most notably at Christmas time. Unforgettable Memories was honoured as the 5th recipient of this award and Lynette Cordonier was speechless when she accepted the award. When she reclaimed her voice, she said it was such a great honour it brought her to tears.
By the end of the night, the FSJ Hospital Foundation was $96,000 closer to reaching its goal of $250,000 towards the Angel Fund. Funds raised will enable the Foundation to fulfill emerging medical equipment needs, and enhance patient care and comfort at the Fort St. John Hospital and Peace Villa Care Facility
