The BC Northern Real Estate Board is celebrating 50 years, and to do so they have generously decieded to make a donation to the Fort St. John Hospiatl Foundation towards the purchase of the second vein viewer for the Fort St. John Hospital.

The 18th Annual Bluey Day exceeded all expectations this year and has brought in over $108,000 with more donations expected in the coming days.  All of these donations are dedicated to cancer treatment in Fort St John.

The Vintage Affair Gives Back

On Saturday May 6th the lineup of eager shoppers had already started almost 2 hours prior to doors opening to shop from an amazing selection of creative vendors at the Vintage Affair.

The FSJ Hospital Foundation was thrilled to provide a bravery bell in the Cancer Clinic located in the FSJ Hospital for patients to celebrate their bravery and final cancer treatment.

The Order of the Eastern Star Alcan Chapter #91 donated $625 to the Fort St. John Hospital Foundation to transform a second lab room to a more welcoming place for children.

The Fort St. John Hospital Foundation is pleased to kick off the Bluey Day fundraising efforts with a $50,000 donation towards the Cancer Diagnostic and Treatment Fund.

On April 7, the Fort St. John Hospital Foundation was excited to accept a $50,000 donation from Giovanna Mucci, in honour of her late husband Edmondo Mucci, a long-time resident of Fort St. John, who passed away from Leukemia in 2001.

Bluey Day is back for Fort St. John’s bravest.

Those looking to show their support for cancer patients, survivors, and remember those lost to cancer, by participating in the Fort St. John Hospital Foundation’s 18th annual Bluey Day can officially register as of March 1.

Participants in this annual event will spend the next three months growing their hair and collecting donations from family, friends, and businesses, to have their head shaved on Bluey Day. This year, Bluey Day will be held on May 27th at the BC Ambulance Building on 96th Street.

ABC Recycling Supports Foundation

ABC Recycling Fort St. John recently donated $3,178.27 to the Fort St. John Hospital Foundation.  The funds were collected throughout 2016 from customers who chose to donate the proceeds of their scrap metal, such as heavy metal, cars and non-ferrous to our local community.

Telus Fibre for Good campaign raised $4,200 for the Fort St. John Hospital Foundation!

Over the last two years Telus has been building a Fibre network in Fort St. John and through the Fibre for Good campaign which wrapped up in November 2016, they enabled their valued customers to combine their love for new technology with their passion for building strong and viable communities; in this case supporting the work of the Fort St. John Hospital Foundation.

A dedicated volunteer board of directors is responsible for leading the Fort St. John Hospital Foundation. The Foundation’s mission is dedicated to working with the community to raise and manage funds to enhance patient care and comfort at the Fort St. John Hospital and Peace Villa Residential Care. Through generous community members and donors, patient care and comfort have been the forefront of the Foundations actives. The Foundation has successfully raises over half a million dollars annually ensuring the equipment it needs to provide quality health care to residents and visitors to the Fort St. John Hospital and Peace Villa Residential Care facilities are met. Through various fund raising activates and the ongoing contributions from members, donors and volunteers the Fort St. John Hospital Foundation has had a lasting impact on health care in Fort St. John and the surrounding areas.

We are seeking an Executive Director to oversee the operations and financial management of the Fort St. John Hospital Foundation. Guided by the Foundation’s Strategic Plan, the Executive Officer will implement leading philanthropic strategies to increase financial support for the Fort St. John Hospital and Peace Villa Residential Care. The Executive Director will report to the Foundation’s Board of Directors through the Board Chair and Executive Committee, and will work with Foundation volunteers, hospital leadership and our donors and community to develop, implement and deliver successful fundraising initiatives and campaigns. Working with a small team, the Executive Director provides oversight and leadership of business development, all aspects of fundraising, donor relations and community engagement. The Foundation is seeking a result driven, creative, strategically thoughtful, and collaborative individual with fundraising experience who can grow the Fort St. John Hospital Foundation and the future of quality health care services in Fort St. John and surrounding areas.
